Mommy Monday {17 weeks}

This is not going to be a very insightful post. I'm not feeling very wordy tonight, so this is all you get!

How far along?  17 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/measurements: I'm going to keep saying 5 lbs {even though I know it's probably more}.
Maternity clothes: I am now wearing my Bella Band in order to fit into my regular pants. I use my maternity jeans, but haven't gone digging through our unpacked boxes to find my maternity work pants yet.
Stretch marks: None to report and hoping to keep it that way. I'm lathering my belly in Burt's Bee's Mama Bee
Sleep: My patience is slowly coming back, but I'm still feeling super exhausted despite getting enough sleep. I really hope I'm not getting sick.
Exercise: Beachbody On Demand is still my go to workout. I start my prenatal yoga class on Wednesday and am so excited to get some stretching and mindfulness in.
Best moment this week: We didn't really do anything noteworthy this past week. Pretty boring around here. We're just trying to stay home and avoid any germs.
Miss anything? Going in a hot tub. I just want to sit in some nice warm water and relax. Ugh!
Movement:  She is definitely making herself more known! I'm feeling her more consistently and loving it.
Food cravings: All last week I was craving oranges {maybe for the extra Vitamin C boost} and Frosted Flakes.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Bell. Peppers. Still.
Gender: Girl #2!
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: This last week was a bit better than the previous week. I'm a teensy bit happier.
Looking forward to: The weekend.

Until next time!

Gender Reveal

Here's the post that I've been promising for the last two weeks! With Lennon, my cousin wanted so badly to do a Gender Reveal Party, but I was pretty against it. The Mr. and I went together to get an ultrasound to find out gender at 16 weeks. It was special that we found out together.

This time around, I decided "Why not?". This is likely our last chance to go the Gender Reveal route so we just went for it. I had genetic testing done around 10 weeks and got the results back 1 week later. Thankfully, all is healthy with baby, which is really all that matters. I made sure to tell my Dr. that I wanted the gender written down in an envelope. She did just that and I immediately delivered the envelope to my cousin. If I didn't give it to her right away, there would be a high probability that I would peek! I just cannot do secrets.

Fast Forward a couple days and we all gathered for dinner. We ate cupcakes before ordering our meal and I was perfectly ok with it! I just couldn't wait to find out any longer! My cousin did a great job and I'm so glad we did it this way this time around!

Until next time!

Mommy Monday {16 Weeks}

Well, I totally dropped the ball on my second post last week. I've just been so tired during the week. Being a teacher, having a toddler, and being pregnant is just a terrible combination for energy, or lack thereof. I'll try for the gender reveal post this week.. no promises though!

How far along?  16 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/measurements: I went to the doctor on Friday and I am up 5 lbs.
Maternity clothes: I am now wearing my Bella Band in order to fit into my regular pants, but I can tell you that more often than not I opt for my maternity pants. This pregnancy I am just alllll about comfort. Give me all the leggings and tunics!
Stretch marks: None to report and hoping to keep it that way. I'm lathering my belly in Burt's Bee's Mama Bee
Sleep: This past week for sleep was no bueno. Lennon is going through a major sleep regression and it's really wearing me down. My patience is running SUPER thin.
Exercise: Beachbody On Demand, specifically Country Heat is my jam. Saturdays and Sundays I am doing that and during the week I am just doing squats and calf lifts.
Best moment this week: We got to see baby again on Friday and she is doing fantastic! We also took Lennon to the Y and went swimming. She loves to swim and it got us out of the house.
Miss anything? Sleep. At least this last week.
Movement:  I've definitely been feeling little flutters here and there, but it doesn't happen all the time. I'm excited to start feeling her more consistently.
Food cravings: I have 100% been craving my Lemon Ice. I make it from scratch and I am obsessed. I know I said earlier that I am trying to be healthy, but this is definitely my weakness. Tomatoes with salt have also been my jam. Yum!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Bell. Peppers. The smell is just terrible. No, thank you!
Gender: Girl #2!
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Like I said earlier, I have had ZERO patience lately. I'm running on a super short fuse and really don't know how to fix it! I'm pretty sure I need some Yoga in my life.
Looking forward to: The weekend.

Until next time!

Mommy Monday {15 weeks}

I've got a couple of posts planned for this week. Obviously Mommy Monday today, but also a little gender reveal post {mostly because my cousin has been "encouraging" me multiple times to post it, haha}.

Monday nights have now become pretty therapeutic for me. I put Lennon to bed, get out my computer, turn on The Bachelor, and get to my blogging. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I feel like I was kind of pushing my belly out a bit here, I definitely do not think I look this big in real life.
How far along?  15 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/measurements: I still haven't weighed myself. I've been working out and trying to stay more healthy this pregnancy. I'm trying not to stress out about my weight, but instead just be healthy for myself and for baby.
Maternity clothes: I still fit in my regular clothes, but much prefer the comfort of my maternity pants. I am alllll about comfort this time around. I have yet to get out my Bella Band, but I can tell that is in my near future {if I want to continue to wear my regular pants}.
Stretch marks: None to report and hoping to keep it that way. I'm lathering my belly in Burt's Bee's Mama Bee
Sleep: Weekends have been pretty amazing lately. Lennon has been sleeping in until 7:30-8 and it has been glorious. I'm usually falling asleep on the couch watching a movie around 8:30ish so I'm getting a solid 9-10 hours on the weekends. Amazing.
Exercise: Beachbody On Demand is my go to on the weekends. I still don't have enough energy to work out after work, especially since I have to wait until Lennon goes to sleep around 7:30. Prenatal Yoga will start up at the end of January and I'm looking forward to that!
Best moment this week: I'm really trying to dig deep in my memory to find SOMETHING, anything that stands out from last week and I just can't do it. Debbie downer, that's me.
Miss anything? Not really. I feel normal about 99% of the time now! Thank goodness!
Movement:  I feel like I've been feeling little flutters here and there, but it's probably in my mind. I don't remember feeling Lennon until at least 18 weeks.
Not really!
Gender: Girl #2!
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been pretty happy most of my pregnancy so far, until today. Something about the combination of snow, driving in the snow, and no snow day just really put me in a bad mood this morning.
Looking forward to: My ultrasound on Friday! I'm getting checked to just rule out any Molar regrowth or new Molar tissue. Crossing my fingers everything is normal!

Until next time!

Mommy Monday {14 Weeks}

Happy Monday everyone! This past week has gone by so quickly! I had a training on Saturday so I feel like I didn't even get a weekend this week. What a bummer! Hopefully this week goes quickly and I can relax a bit next weekend! Here's hoping..

How far along?  14 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/measurements: I'll just go with 3 lbs still until I see the doctor again next week.
Maternity clothes: I still fit in my regular clothes, but not for much longer. Some of my pants I can still button with no problems, but others I've been using the good old rubber band trick. I have yet to get out my Bella Band, but I can tell that is in my near future!
Stretch marks: None to report and hoping to keep it that way. I'm lathering my belly in Burt's Bee's Mama Bee
Sleep: I'm still getting my normal 8+ hours per night. I try to go to bed no later than 9:00. Most nights I'm falling asleep on the couch way before that though. As soon as Lennon is in bed at 7:30, I'm ready to crash!
Exercise:I was only able to do my  Beachbody On Demand once this week due to my training. I really wish I had the energy to workout during the week, but I supplement with doing squats and calf raises during the week every other night.  These are all things that I was doing prior to getting pregnant. I'm also signing up for a prenatal yoga class that will start at the end of January. I cannot wait for that!
Best moment this week: Buying a new winter coat! It definitely won't fit me once my belly pops, but I was in dire need of a new coat {I may need to supplement with a cheaper one for a little while at the end of winter}.
Miss anything? Not really. My nausea is finally starting to subside and I'm feeling a bit more like myself.
Movement: I swear I felt something the other night, but then thought "nah, it is way too early." Maybe soon!
Food cravings: This week I have been craving Granny Smith apples, my secret homemade Lemon ice, oatmeal, Cheerios, and Oreo dirt cake {thank goodness the last craving came and went super quick or I'd gain SOO much weight}.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Leftovers are still not really doing it for me. I also now do not want anything to do with Qdoba. I mean, I just don't get these cravings and aversions. It's crazy.
Gender: Girl #2!
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: I seem to be pretty happy for the most part. However, if I'm not feeling well I can be pretty moody.
Looking forward to: The weekend. Again. I didn't get enough of one last weekend!

Until next time!

Mommy Monday {Baby #2 Edition}

Well, here I am again. I've really been slacking on my blogging. And I really have no excuses. I just haven't felt inspired by anything recently, but now... we are expecting baby #2! Plus, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to blog more. I really feel like blogging is a good outlet for me. It's helped me through some of the darkest times.

So, here's to Mommy Monday {Baby #2 Edition} and more frequent blog posts!

How far along?  13 weeks, 4 days.. Hello, Second Trimester!
Total weight gain/measurements: I'm up 3 lbs so far, but I really haven't been paying too close attention to the scale {considering that is still currently packed in our basement}.
Maternity clothes: Not yet, however this entire last week I have spent in stretchy pants and sweatshirts {ahh the gloriousness of Christmas break}. We shall see how my work clothes fit me tomorrow!
Stretch marks: None to report and hoping to keep it that way. I'm lathering my belly in Burt's Bee's Mama Bee. I'm attempting to do the same things I did with Lennon because I only got stretch marks on my bum with her.
Sleep: This last week has been extremely refreshing in the sleep department. I've been doing pretty well as far as sleep goes, but my energy level definitely starts to depreciate in the afternoon.
Exercise: I have been trying to be much more active this pregnancy. I just don't have enough energy to do anything when I get home during the week, but on the weekends I've been continuing to do my Beachbody On Demand. It's so convenient to just have it on my TV. I don't even have to leave my house and I just do it while Lennon is napping. It's perfect!
Best moment this week: Being on Christmas break and being able to spend an entire week with Lennon. I miss spending my days with her.
Miss anything? Feeling normal. This first trimester has been HORRIBLE. ALL. DAY. EVERY. DAY. Nausea. It has not let up and I am still get bouts of it some days.
Movement: No baby movements yet, although I cannot wait to start feeling her kick!
Food cravings: These have been very similar to my first pregnancy. Orange Juice, Cuties, Strawberries, Granny Smith Apples, QDoba, Lemon Ice, Tomatoes with Salt {I literally ate a plate with four of them yesterday}.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I really haven't been doing well with leftovers, which I usually am all about. I eat something for one meal and just can't seem to want to eat it again.
Going back to work after a break is just a bummer.

Until next time!
