Mommy Monday {23 weeks}

Another week has past! I can't believe how fast time is going! Baby girl is definitely growing!

How far along? 23 weeks!
Total weight gain: I am still hovering at 15 pounds {even according to my doctor's scale last week}.
Maternity clothes: The red pants are from Motherhood Maternity and they are amazing! What's even better is that they were on clearance! I love amazing deals!
Stretch marks: Still no stretch marks! I have run out of my Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter so I just purchased some Honest Co. Organic Belly Balm as it is on deal on Cartwheel right now! Hopefully it works!
Sleep: I haven't been sleeping with my body pillow as I have been sick with a cold and need to flip from side to side {I'm so congested}. Hopefully I kick this thing soon so I can go back to solely sleeping on my left side! Other than that, I am actually sleeping quite well.
Best moment this week: Confirming {for the third time} that baby is a girl! I have a secret, we actually found out back in December, but I just wanted to have several people tell us the same thing before I shared the news! We are so beyond excited and happy!
Miss anything? Not really, which I will take!
Movement: She is extremely active now! I'm so thankful for that and love the little movements. There really is nothing like it.
Food cravings: Nothing too outrageous. Still craving sweet, especially after any meal that I eat. I need dessert.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I have not been queasy or sick recently. Thank goodness!
Gender: Girl!
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In {although, it's sneaking it's way out}.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: My mood has been pretty stable. I'm sure the Mr. is thankful for that. Haha.
Looking forward to: Painting the nursery and getting things started in there!

Until next time!

It's a...

GIRL!!!

Ziggy can't contain his excitement and is so happy to FINALLY be able to say that he will have a little sister in May! Bring on the Pink!

And just as a fun review, I'd like to go back to my Old Wives Tales post and see how many were correct!

Carrying High or Low? Right! Girl!

Skin Blemishes or clear skin? Wrong. Boy.

Soft or Dry skin? Wrong. Boy.

Baby's Heartbeat: 140+ or below 140?  Right! Girl!

Sweets or Salty and sour? Definitely Right! Girl!

Chinese Gender Predictor: Wrong. Boy.

The Mayans: Wrong. Boy.

Ring test: Swings back and forth or in circles? Right! Girl!

Sick as a dog or no morning sickness? Right! Girl!

Is Hubby indulging in my cravings or staying the same? Wrong. Boy.

Hair: Dull and Limp or Thick and Glossy? Right! Girl!

Body hair: staying the same or growing thick and fast? Right! Girl!

Which is bigger: Left or Right boob? Right! Girl!

And the last one! Baking soda test. When mixed equal parts urine and baking soda, does it have no reaction at all or fizzle like soda? Right! Girl!

9 {or 65%} of these fun games were correct! I'd say that's a good percentage!

Until Next Time!

Mommy Monday {22 Weeks}

I had off work today, so you get a Mommy Monday update sans make-up, au natural hair, and in my most comfortable of clothes. I did a lot of cleaning, laundry, and made a trip to the gym for some water aerobics {where I was the youngest person in attendance by at least 30 years}. Oh well! Enjoy!

How far along? 22 weeks!
Total weight gain: 15 lbs according to my scale at home.
Maternity clothes: I have ordered some work pants from Motherhood Maternity. I just hope that they fit!
Stretch marks: Still lathering away and still no stretch marks.
Sleep: All of my pains have subsided {praise the lord} and I'm sleeping a little better. I keep waking up in the middle of the night and am completely restless. Hoping this symptom is not here to stay.
Best moment this week: Buying our new car! We have been a one car family for about 4 months now and we finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a new Toyota Tacoma. It is amazing!
Miss anything? Not really, which I will take!
Movement: Baby has not been as active these last couple days. I have been feeling some movement when I'm resting. I've been on the go for most of the last couple days so I'm hoping I've just been lulling the baby to sleep.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular, except my mom's Toffee Bars {which I had to make to satisfy my craving}. I'm just happy I'm able to eat most things that I want!
Anything making you queasy or sick? I have not been queasy or sick recently. Thank goodness!
Gender: The waiting game continues...
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In {although, it's sneaking it's way out}.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been a little bit moody the last couple of days.
Looking forward to: Our {second} anatomy scan this week!

Until next time!

Mommy Monday {21 weeks}

How far along? 21 weeks!
Total weight gain: I have not weighed myself since last week, so 14 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Same old, same old. Maternity leggings, Maternity jeans, and still wearing some of my pre-pregnancy tops. I NEED to go out and find some pants that I can wear to work.
Stretch marks: Still lathering away and still no stretch marks.
Sleep: Leachco Snoogle has been my saving grace. It keeps me on my left side {which is actually not as bad as I expected it to be} and the Round Ligament Pains that I was experiencing last week have gotten significantly better. I'm actually sleeping through the night again. Thank you for small favors.
Best moment this week: Going to my first Prenatal Yoga class. AMAZING. I can't wait to go again.
Miss anything? Vacation... for sure.
Movement: More and more movement has been occurring. I just love feeling the kicks and flutters.
Food cravings: I've been eating these fruit and nut energy bars {think bagels} from Costco for breakfast and crave them several times throughout the day. They are delicious.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not a thing. 2 weeks and counting.
Gender: The waiting game continues...
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In {although, it's sneaking it's way out}.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, but had a bout of crabby, then sad today.
Looking forward to: The three day weekend!

Until next time!

Mommy Monday {20 weeks}

I know, I know this post is 2 days late and definitely not on Monday, but I don't want mess with the name. Haha. I have not been having the greatest week {hello Round Ligament Pains}, so I've been going to bed early and just haven't had time to blog. It is also the first week back from break and we are having Parent/Teacher Conferences. So exhausting.  So here we go.

How far along? 20 weeks!
Total weight gain: Doctor's office says I'm up 14 lbs (which is actually 1 lb less than a month ago). Believe me, with all the holiday food, I've been eating my fair share. My mom's toffee bars are to die for and I'm pretty sure I ate an entire pan myself.
Maternity clothes: I have been wearing a lot of dresses and leggings to work, which is quite nice because I don't feel restricted.
Stretch marks: Still none, thank goodness! I'm hoping to keep it that way. I'm lathering my belly every night before bed.
Sleep: Ugh, sleep, what's that? The last two nights have been pretty miserable. I know I'm only 20 weeks, but man, the pains. My back hurts, my belly hurts, I can't roll over. UGH. I'm hoping this will pass as soon. I did however buy the Leachco Snoogle today in hopes to gain some sleep back.
Best moment this week: Being able to see Baby at our Anatomy Scan today. However, Baby did not want to show it's face or gender {bummer} so we have to go back again in 2 weeks. I won't complain about being able to see him/her again!
Miss anything? Sleep! and being pain free!
Movement: Yes, I've been feeling movement several times per day lately. It is quite an amazing feeling.
Food cravings: Grapefruit is the craving of the moment. I'm sure it will be something new tomorrow. Haha.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not a thing. Crossing my fingers it stays this way.
Gender: Still no such luck. Baby had it's legs crossed throughout our entire anatomy scan. Hopefully in 2 weeks!
Labor signs: No and let's keep it that way!
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: I've just been feeling upset by all this pain. It's been so bad that I've almost been in tears a couple times. Other than that, my mood has been pretty steady.
Looking forward to: The weekend so I can relax!

Until next time!

Hello 2016!

Hello all,

I figured since I made a resolution post last, I might as well carry that on to this year as well. So here it goes: bring on 2016!

1. The Mr. and I have decided to cancel our cable. We have signed up for Hulu plus and it seems to be good so far. The only thing I'm going to miss is being able to watch live sports, but I guess we will just have to adjust. I suppose we will be watching all the future Packer games at a local bar {which we actually have to do now, as they are not on local TV here anyway}. Oh well. I'm excited for this change and saving money!

2. Read. More. Books! Last year, I was off to a good start, but really wasn't able to read too many books. This year, I'm going to make a more valid effort of reading {and finishing} more books. Right now, I'm finishing up the book Shadow Spell fro, the Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy by Nora Roberts {I love her} and next up is Blood Magick {which is the last book in the Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy}. For Christmas, I got some new books that are on my new year reading list: Mean Streak by Sandra Brown,  Stars of Fortune by Nora Roberts, and See Me by Nicholas Sparks. I better get reading!

3. Prenatal Yoga. Yesterday, I bought a groupon to try out some prenatal yoga classes at a local yoga studio. I'm excited to try this. I've heard that they help to prepare you for birth {although the Mr. and I do plan to attend birthing class as well}. I've been practicing yoga for a couple years now, but I'm excited to see how different prenatal classes are!

4. Finish more projects. I still need to finish the rocking chair that I bought last spring. It's all sanded down, but is only half painted and currently sitting in our living room like that. Haha. I also want to find an antique dresser to refinish for the baby's room, so that will be a time consuming and fun project. I will update as I complete these!

Our unfinished rocking chair. Someday, someday.

I think I'm going to quit while I'm ahead here. I don't want to put down too many resolutions that I'm not able to go through with them.

Until tomorrow!
